Road to be closed for parade

WEIRTON — North- and southbound lanes of Penco Road from Cove Road to Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. today for the Madonna High School homecoming parade.

Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes where possible.

County road work schedule set

STEUBENVILLE — Next week’s work schedule for the Jefferson County Highway Department includes:

• Berm repair: County Road 34 (Two Ridge Road)

• Retaining wall construction: County Road 15-A (Litten Road)

• Culvert replacement: County Road 56 (Costonia-Mount Tabor Road)

• Guardrail repairs: Various roads

• Bridge replacement: Knox Township Road 289 and Springfield Township Road 472 (Ridgewood)

• Contract tree trimming: County Road 53 (Bergholz-New Somerset Road) and county Road 6 (Mount Pleasant-Adena Road)
