Guardrail repair set on Route 22

WEIRTON — A portion of U.S. Route 22, from the Hancock County line to the Pennsylvania state line, will be restricted to one lane in both directions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday for guardrail repair.

Flaggers will be on site to maintain traffic, and motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays.

The schedule could be altered because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

County Road 6 closure set

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Road 6 (Mount Pleasant-Adena Road) will be closed at a point 0.05 miles south of Mount Pleasant Township Road 8 (Plank Road) for approximately four weeks for slip repair beginning at 7 a.m. Friday.

There will be no through traffic, the Jefferson County Engineer’s Department said.

Brooke school board to meet

WELLSBURG – The Brooke County Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the school board offices, 1201 Pleasant Ave., Wellsburg.
