Weirton Rotary Club members, during their recent meeting, heard from Jeanie Smith, director of the Greater Weirton Senior Center, and Chuck Svokas, of the center’s board of directors, who discussed the services offered through the senior center located in downtown Weirton. The Weirton Senior Center provides lunch four days a week, as well as social activities, such as card games, pool, and dances, for the local senior population. Membership is $25 per year. Efforts are underway to fundraise for a new roof, and those wishing to contribute are asked to call (304) 748-3490.
