WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued by the Weirton Area Water Board for the area of North 12th Street following work on a water line today.

The order includes all water customers from North 12th Street to Cove Valley Estates, as well as any others in the area who experienced low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
