Boil order issued for North 20th Street in Weirton
WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for the North 20th Street area of the city, according to the Weirton Area Water Board.
The Water Board issued the notice just before 10:30 a.m. today, saying the boil order followed work performed on a water line in the neighborhood. The order also affects any other nearby water customers who experienced low or no water pressure.
If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
