Parade honorees
Winning entries for the 2025 Steubenville Sights and Sounds of Christmas Parade, which was held Dec. 6, received their keepsake nutcrackers and certificates Wednesday during an event at the Visitors Center at Historic Fort Steuben. Claiming honors in the floats category were Eastern Construction and Excavating and Speedy Contracting Service, tied for first; Cardinal Operating Co., second; and Cross Creek Tomahawks 4-H and Jefferson County Humane Society, tied for third. Non-float honorees were the Grinch, first place; Main Street Dance, second; and Steubenville Aladdin Shrine Motor Patrol, third. Taking home the Grand Prize was Studio B. Bowers Crane Services LLC won the Mayor’s Award, and American Legion Post 740 took special recognition; Special acknowledgement was given to Steubenville Weirton Amateur Radio Club in recognition for the club’s “years of service in assisting” parade organizers, providing communications as well as assisting with the parade lineup.
