Boil order issued following line repair on Basil Drive

WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board issued a boil order Tuesday night following repairs to a water line on Basil Drive.

Affected areas include Basil Drive, Patricia Avenue, Payton Drive, Dottie Way, the 1400 to 1700 blocks of Kings Creek Road, and any other customers in the area experiencing low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
