WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order for the area of Williams Drive following work on a water line earlier today.

The order includes all customers on Williams Drive, Lindberg Way, Beechwood Drive, Riverview Drive, Buchanon Way, and any others in the area who experienced low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
