The City of Weirton continued its tradition, Monday, of paying tribute to area residents who have served the nation through the military. Mayor Dean Harris, right, presented a proclamation to Paul James Tokash in recognition of his time enlisted in the Army. Tokash served from January 1966 to January 1969, receiving basic training at Fort Bragg, with additional training in the areas of Airborne, code of conduct and military justice. He served as a communications center specialist in the 7th SFG Airborne 1st Special Forces in Vietnam, earning numerous decorations including the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Parachute Badge, and Combat Infantryman Badge. — Craig Howell
