WEIRTON – As a result of the inclement weather in the area, Weirton’s municipal offices will be closed Monday.

The city’s Public Works, police and fire will be on duty, and provide services as conditions allow.

As of 4 p.m. today, the collection schedule for garbage and recyclables will not be altered. If there are any changes, they will be posted on the city’s website and social media.

Weirton Ride is suspending its transit services, with no routes operating until conditions are safe for buses to operate. More information and updates can be found on the Weirton Ride website and social media.

The Millsop Community Center will continue its operations as an emergency shelter, with regular recreational activities suspended until further notice.
