Weirton resident faces terroristic threats charge

WEIRTON – A Weirton resident is facing charges for allegedly making online threats against faculty at the Franciscan University of Steubenville.

David Fisher, 18, faces felony charges of terroristic threats and is presently being held at the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.

Weirton Police report being contacted by the university Jan. 20, concerning threats of physical harm to university professors on a private online message board, allegedly made by Fisher.

Fisher was contacted at his residence, and interviewed by police, before being arrested.
