Weirton Water Board reports discolored water in some areas of the city
WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board reports that some areas of the city may be experiencing discolored water following the line break on Walnut Street earlier today.
The line break, officials note, was in the main transmission line, and, as a result, discolored or brown water may be found in the system for customers along the pumpline throughout the city.
Because of the inclement weather, crews are unable to flush the water lines at this time, but note the discoloration should dissipate as it travels through the system toward the state line.
