Boil order issued for area of Weirton’s Municipal Plaza
WEIRTON – A boil order has been issued for the area of Weirton’s Municipal Plaza, including Walnut Street and Cove Commons, following work on a water line earlier today.
Crews with the Weirton Area Water Board have performed repairs to the line on Walnut Street.
If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
