WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order for all customers on the 1100 block and 3500 block of Riverview Drive, and the 3500 block of Brightway, as well as any others in the area who experienced low or no water pressure.

The order follows repairs to a water line on Riverview Drive earlier today.

If you live in the affected area bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible and the boil

water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
