Helen Estep, 90, of Mingo Jct., died Wednesday, February 18th, 2026.

She was born June 20th, 1935 in Penowa, PA. She worked at Pure Milk in Steubenville where she met her husband, Ron and they married in 1956. They had three children. She had several jobs including the soda fountain at the Thrift Drug, K&B Market in Steubenville, waitress at the KofC and retired from Ohio Valley Hospital, where she worked as a nurse’s aide.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ron in 1999; her infant daughter Theresa in 1958 and her brother John Starinsky in 2025.

She is survived by her daughters Joyce Young and Patty (Brian) Albert both of Steubenville; three grandchildren Brittany Young (husband Dustin Pyeritz), Taylor Young (Fiance Cole Yeater) and grandson John Vukas. Also one brother Joseph (Cindy) Gabrielli, sister Mary Perovich, sister in law Brenda Starinsky and beloved dog Riley.

The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity West Medical Center ICU for their excellent care and compassion, also Dr. Kalla, anesthesiologist, for his frequent visits and guidance.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1-3 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 am, Fr. Michael Gossett will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
