Ohio woman faces charges for car theft in Hancock County
NEW CUMBERLAND – An Ohio woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle belonging to a Hancock County resident Wednesday.
Natasha Baron, 30, of Massillon, Ohio, was arrested following a chase which began after county deputies identified the vehicle in Newell. According to information from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the owner reported he had started the vehicle, going back inside his residence and discovering the vehicle was missing about 20 minutes later.
Reports indicate the individual driving the vehicle when it was spotted, later identified as Baron, failed to stop for law enforcement, leading deputies and Chester Police on a pursuit into East Liverpool, where they were assisted by East Liverpool Police in apprehending Baron.
Baron currently is being held in the Columbiana County Jail, pending extradition. She faces charges of grand larceny in Hancock County.
