WEIRTON – The Weirton Area Water Board has issued a boil order following work on a water line at the intersection of Overlook Drive and Bright Way.

Areas affected by the boil order include the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Overlook Drive, Landview Drive, Eastview Drive, the 1400 block of Barone Drive Extension, and any others in the area experiencing low or no water pressure.

If you live in the affected areas listed above bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
