Wintersville Women’s Club spreads joy

WINTERSVILLE — The Wintersville Women’s Club continues to demonstrate its deep commitment to the community through acts of kindness and service. In celebration of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, members of the club recently visited the School of Bright Promise for a special Easter-themed activity with students.

The visit was filled with smiles, laughter and creativity as students decorated Easter egg cookies donated by the Wintersville Women’s Club. The hands-on activity provided not only a fun and festive experience, but also an opportunity for meaningful interaction and connection.

The School of Bright Promise serves individuals with developmental disabilities, offering programs that focus on growth, independence, and community engagement. Events like this highlight the importance of inclusion and the value of building relationships across the community.

Members of the Wintersville Women’s Club shared that giving back is at the heart of their mission, and opportunities like this are what make their work so rewarding. By partnering with local organizations, they continue to make a positive impact throughout Jefferson County.

This event served as a reminder that even small acts of kindness — like decorating a cookie together — can create lasting joy and strengthen the bonds of a community.
