Big foot: A resident in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue reported a breaking and entering Monday. The resident said he returned home from work to discover a back window had been removed and “there was a footprint on the backdoor as well where it appeared someone tried to kick it in.” He thinks it was his ex-girlfriend who did it.
Connected the dots: A woman in the 200 block of S. 5th Street told police Tuesday she thinks a man is living in her basement even though she told him to leave. She said she had told him he could stay in her basement but “not long after” he moved in she told him he needed to leave. She thinks he had a key to her front door made and may have taken two televisions and two room air conditioners missing from her home.
Take the hint: Police were asked to check on “a female pushing a suitcase, possibly being followed Tuesday by a male” in the 200 block of S. 4th Street. The woman told police the man was her boyfriend and they had been arguing so “she was attempting to get away from him for a while but he kept following her.” Police told him to “leave (her) alone.”
Summons: Employees at Walmart alleged two women left the store Monday without paying for more than $165 in merchandise. Stephanie Buckley, 28, East Liverpool, and Chloe Lynn Marie Custer, 20, 501 Roosevelt Drive, Newell, were each charged with theft, police said. Employees claimed Custer used a fictitious price tag to scan items in her cart and that Buckley failed to scan several items, police said.
Bothered: A N. 7th Street resident told police Monday two women “harass her every time she sees them.” She said the two saw her in a store and claims they “began calling her names and saying, ‘Come outside.'” Police advised her how to obtain a protection order and said she should call if it happens again.

Summons: Jessica Sue Crow, 40, 216 Fairview St., Weirton, theft, Sunday. Employees at Walmart alleged Crow failed to scan several items at checkout “while completing an order for delivery for another individual via a dash-like service.” Also, Anthony Steineman, 44, 177 Paris Colliers Road, Burgettstown, possession of drug paraphernalia, Sunday.
Code issues: The owner of four vehicles with expired plates parked in a vacant lot at 408 Lawson Avenue was told they are an outdoor storage violation and need to be removed.
Cited: Sabrina McNichols, no age or address listed, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failure to yield after a two-car accident at the intersection of Mall and Aldis drives. McNichols denied colliding with the other vehicle but after admitting she does not have a valid driver’s license, police reported asking her about damage to her driver-side rear bumper, but she “seemed unsure.”
Fraud: A city resident reported fraudulent activity on his Navy Federal Credit Union card. He told police three purchases totaling $715 were charged to his account. He believes the purchases were made online since the card was never out of his possession.
