Siblings at odds: Police said a disturbance initially reported Thursday as a robbery ended up being a property dispute involving two men who claimed they lived in a house owned by their shared sister, who is in jail. Police said one of the men came after he was himself released from jail to find the house “in squalor and disarray (with) the electric shut off” and two brand new outfits and a pair of shoes in their original packaging that he’d left in a first-floor closet missing. He said his sister’s half-brother had been “in and out of the residence while he was away and bringing (alleged) junkies and persons of ill repute” to the residence.” The other man denied taking the items but did confirm there had been “multiple people in and out of the residence.” Police advised the two to “settle up with the missing (items) and…figure out their living arrangements.”

Employees at Kroger report a an left the store Thursday without paying for multiple bottles of alcohol valued at $75.

No progress: A woman said she paid an individual $5,000 to do work at a house she owns on Claire Street and when she went to check on his progress, “noticed nothing was (done) and there weren’t any supplies” at the residence.

Leaving church: Someone in the 500 block of Woodlawn Road complained about “children being loud” Thursday. Police said when they checked the area a church function was wrapping up and several people, some of them children, were getting into vehicles to leave but there were no loud noises and no one was breaking any laws.

Cleaning house: A caller complained about loud music in the 800 block of Market Street Friday. Police said they found two juveniles who said they’d cranked the music up “while they cleaned the house.” Police advised them to keep the noise down.

Booked: Allajawon Groce, 25, Sandusky, warrants for felonious assault and weapons under disability (Sandusky Police Department) Friday; David C. Blanchard, 42, 108 Brentwild Blvd., Wintersville, held in the county jail on a warrant Friday on a warrant for failure to appear, plus alleged possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia Friday; Ryan Gooch, 35, no fixed address, failure to appear Saturday; Shaq Wilson, 32, Pittsburgh, warrant (Steubenville Municipal Court) Sunday.

Breaking bad: A caller reported a female breaking windows Friday at a Lincoln Avenue residence. An individual there said she was cleaning up the house and a friend who’d stayed there a couple days to help her broke two windows after an argument. She told police she’d like to pursue charges.

Reported: Someone reported hearing shots fired Friday in the vicinity of Woodlawn and Oregon Avenue but police were unable to locate anything amiss.

A large group of juveniles described as “unruly” were removed from the mall, Saturday.

Code issues: Notice of violation was sent to owners/occupants of properties at 1337 Steele Ave., high grass; 430 Maxwell Ave., high grass, tires and other items in back yard.

Cited: Nicholas Pickford, 40, 631 Buena Vista Blvd., Steubenville, dog at large. Police allege Pickford’s dog snapped its leash and bit a leashed dog on a walk with its owner; Gabriel Alexander, 24, 242 Liberty St., Dillonvale, assured clear distance ahead Saturday after a two-car crash with no injuries at State Route 7 and Franklin Avenue; Jae Vonn Crawford, 29, 570 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, and Jessica Hooper, 38, old State Route 7, parking in a prohibited area.
