Weirton man in custody following Thursday night pursuit

WEIRTON – A Weirton resident is in the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail following a pursuit with multiple law enforcement agencies Thursday night.
Coletin Blaze Adamson, 20, is facing charges of fleeing with reckless indifference, fleeing from police on foot, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, obstructing an officer/resisting arrest, driving without a license and improper registration.
No bail has been set as of noon, today.
Weirton police were notified Thursday night that Wintersville police were in pursuit of a black Ford SUV, with the driver identified as Adamson.
The vehicle crossed the Veterans Memorial Bridge, took the Three Springs Drive exit from U.S. 22, with police continuing the pursuit to Culler Road and the Kings Creek area. A deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department deployed spike strips, deflating one of the vehicle’s front tires, with Adamson continuing to flee until attempting to turn onto Country Club Boulevard where he lost control and struck a parked car and telephone pole.
Police report Adamson then fled on foot to Falcon Drive and the residence of his grandmother, where he was later apprehended.
