Beacon Drive area under boil order in Weirton
WEIRTON – Several streets in the area of Beacon Drive are under a boil order following work on a water line earlier today.
The Weirton Area Water Board issued the order for Beacon Drive, East Parkway, Leach Street, Patterson Drive, Kent Way, Chrystal Lane, and any others in the area experiencing low or no water pressure.
Those in the affected areas are advised to bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. Disinfection will be verified as soon as possible, and the boil water notice will be lifted through local media notification.
