SINGING PRAISES
Craig Howell
Members of the Weirton Ecumenical Council Choir were among those performing Saturday as part of Weirton’s observances of Juneteenth. The Ecumenical Council, with support from Christ the King Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly, and St. Peters AME Church, hosted two days of activities, including a revival service Friday evening, and an afternoon of live music, food, bounce houses and more at the Weirton Event Center Saturday. This year’s events focused on the theme “Remember our history, celebrate our future.”
