Body found in Steubenville’s Beatty Park

STEUBENVILLE -- A man’s body was discovered Friday morning in Beatty Park.

Police Chief Wes Crawford said the man’s identity is not being released pending notification of his next of kin. Crawford said the cause of death could not be determined at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Volunteers working at the park say hikers found the man’s body by the old Stone Lodge.
