ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Fox Run CEO Randall Mackendrick has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on multiple charges, including unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Mackendrick, 59, was arrested early Saturday by the North Ridgeville Police Department on charges of importuning, defined as soliciting sexual activity; disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile; possessing criminal tools; and unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Fox Run Director of Referral and Community Partnerships Lora Boley released a statement Monday afternoon confirming Mackendrick had been placed on administrative leave.
"This is a personal matter arising from conduct alleged to have occurred outside the facility, not connected to any current or former patients and is currently under investigation by law enforcement," Boley said. "There is no indication that the allegations relate to patient care or facility operations. Patient safety and quality of care remain our highest priorities, and we will continue to take appropriate steps to ensure the facility operates in accordance with all applicable requirements."
She added that because the investigation is ongoing, Fox Run is unable to comment on the specific allegations or provide additional details at this time.
Fox Run is a residential treatment facility for children and adolescents in Belmont County and is owned by Universal Health Services. Mackendrick has been with Fox Run since 2016.
He is being held in the Lorain County Jail on $125,000 bond.
Mackendrick's next court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m.
