STEUBENVILLE POLICE Nicotine fit: An alarm company asked police to check on a woman in the 3900 block of Stratford Boulevard who said her husband had shoved her Sunday. She told police her husband “threw a ham sandwich at her and shoved her,” but police said they didn’t see any redness or signs of bruising. MORGANTOWN – A recent study showed that West Virginia has the lowest monthly bills among the 50 states. That's good news – in a way. As Lauren Weatherford, a WVU Extension associate professor, pointed out, “You have to look at the data in context. You can't look at the data as an individual factor.” The figures come from Doxo.com's 2025 U.S. Household Bill Pay Report and were reported by UtilityRates.com. Weirton sets dates for controlled bow hunt

WEIRTON - The dates for Weirton's annual controlled bow hunt have been set. The hunt will take place from Sept. 5 to Dec. 31, with an extended season planned for Jan. 11 to Jan. 31. In order to participate, an individual must have lived in either Hancock or Brooke counties for at least the past six months. All hunters planning to participate must attend one of three scheduled pre-hunt meetings, to be held in the Weirton Room of the Millsop Community Center.
