Ronald Joseph "Ronnie" Ujcich Jr., 45, of Wellsburg, WV, died suddenly on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in an ATV accident in Piney, WV, while on a hunting trip with his family.
Born on June 23, 1975, in Wheeling, WV a son of Ronald J. and Eva (Madorum) Ujcich, Sr. of Wellsburg, WV.
Ronnie graduated from Brooke High School in 1993 and went on the graduate from West Liberty University with a bachelor's in education. Ronnie followed in his father's footsteps in teaching driver's education at Brooke High School and coaching Brooke High School's baseball team. He also was a proud coach of the Brooke High School Golf Team. His love for his students and players will be forever remembered at Brooke High School and his favorite coaching experience was coaching his nephew Alex in baseball and golf. Ronnie was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg, WV.
In addition to his loving parents, Ronnie is survived by three siblings, Jennifer and her husband Eric Jezierski of Follansbee, WV, Todd and wife Natalie Ujcich of Follansbee, WV, and Brian Ujcich of Wintersville, OH; six nieces and nephews, Alex and Alyssa Jezierski, Madeline and Quinn Ujcich, and Andrew and Matthew Ujcich; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 2-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
A Catholic funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, October 21, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1300 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV, with the Rev. Father Arul Anthony as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his father Ronald J. Ujcich, Sr. for a scholarship being set up in his name.
