Shirley Hruschak

She was born on July 3, 1942, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Joseph Paul and Margaret E. (Nash) Lawthers. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Hruschak Sr. on July 6, 2019; an infant daughter, Jessica Hruschak; two brothers, Kenneth and Harold Lawthers; and one sister, Virginia Smith.

Shirley graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1960. She worked many years at Sams Club starting in the bakery department and later in demo. She was Christian by faith. She had a deep love for horses, quilting, photography; most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by four children, John (Rachell) Hruschak Jr. and Deborah (Jim) DeMaria, both of Follansbee, WV, and Elizabeth (Chris) Swearman of Mcdonald, PA, and Charles (Erin) Hruschak of Follansbee, WV; 11 grandchildren, Aaron, Sarah, Jacob, Roy, Trevor, Dei, Ari, Riley, Madalynn, Jessica, and Bernice; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Lucas; and one great- grandbaby on the way; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be planned in the near future at the convenience of the family.
