DONALD A. ALLEN, 86, of Weirton, WV, passed away Monday June 13, 2022 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1936 in New Castle, PA, son of the late Clare and Dorothy McKibben Allen. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Martha Smith.
Donald was a member of Weirton First Church of the Nazarene with whom he went on nine mission trips abroad. Apart from running his own pest control company and construction company for many years, Donald is most known for his time as a firefighter with the City of Weirton, where he retired from after 22 years of service.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty Jo Butler Allen; daughters, Renee Watson (Rob), Debbie Murphy and Amy Jo Brown (Steve); son, Robert "Bob" Allen (Kelly); 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and sister, Ruth Connerly (Robert).
Visitation will take place Thursday June 16, 2022 from 10:30 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Weirton First Church of the Nazarene, 475 Colliers Way, Weirton, WV, with Pastor Jim Barnhart and Pastor Bennett Briles presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
