Wesley “Shorty” Dalton
Wesley Lewis “Shorty” Dalton, 60, resident of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Liza’s Place, with his family by his side.
He was born on February 23, 1962, in Steubenville, OH, son of Phyllis Virginia Taylor Dalton and the late Bernard Eugene Dalton.
He received his associate degree from Belmont Tech and was a restaurant manager for 40 years. He was a member of Warwood United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Men’s Club. He loved music, hockey, trains, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 21 years, Wendy Sue Nicholson Dalton; 3 children, Cullen Wesley Dalton, Ashley Noelle (Josh) Berka and Andrew Lewis Dalton; 2 grandchildren, Kennedy Paige Berka and Colton Graham Berka; 2 brothers, David Eugene (Paula) Dalton and Steven William Dalton; 2 nephews, Michael (Jessie) Dalton and Trevor Stewart and his fiancee, Andrea Guzek; 2 nieces, Kasie Stewart (Joe Chappelear), and Amy Dalton; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Donna Nicholson; sister and brother-in-law, Shelly and Scott Stewart.
Friends will be received at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2722) on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Rev. Heather Rogers officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
