JOSEPHINE CUOMO NORMAN
Josephine Cuomo Norman went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2022. She was 85 years of age. Josephine was born on February 19, 1937, in Follansbee, West Virginia, and was a resident of Hilliard, Ohio. Josephine was preceded in death by her father Frank Cuomo, Sr., her mother Anna Tornifolio Cuomo, her sister Dr. Ruth Ann Cuomo Miller, her brother Attorney Frank Cuomo, Jr., and her son Berkley H. Norman 3rd. She is survived by her son Bradley H. Norman, her sister Shirley Jean Cuomo, her brother Pastor Joseph F. Cuomo, sister-in-law Mrs. Frank (Sharon) Cuomo, Jr. and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Josephine graduated from Follansbee High School in 1954. She attended the College of Steubenville in Steubenville, Ohio, and graduated from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.
Josephine was employed by the Columbia Gas Company in Columbus, Ohio, and served as Director of Marketing and Advertising. Among her many achievements is the creation of the slogan “Warm heat is gas heat.” She held memberships in several professional organizations and participated in many community activities. She enjoyed traveling, including several trips to her father’s homeland in Italy, the town of Praia a Mare. She kept communication with her father’s family in Italy. For many years she was the pianist for the Christian Assembly Church of Follansbee, her home church. .
A memorial service was held at the Radiant Life Church in Dublin, Ohio.
