LIANA DOBBS
Liana Rae Dobbs, 88 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023, at Weirton Geriatric Center.
She was born on October 13, 1934, in Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Lester Lionel and Mildred Kathleen (Byers) Ankrom. In addition to her parents Liana is preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Dobbs.
Liana graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central and worked many years at the Old Ohio Valley Hospital as a Nurse Aide. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Steubenville, OH.
Liana is survived by two daughters, Leslie (Russell) Wagstaff and Nikki (Terry) Schwertfeger both of Follansbee, WV; a brother, Frankie (Becky) Pfouts of Hopedale, OH; four grandchildren, Eric Wagstaff, Mark Wagstaff, Justin (Paula) Schwertfeger, John (Rachel) Schwertfeger; four great grandchildren, Dominik, Caleb, Rylee, and Emma.
Visitation for Liana will be held on Thursday, June 8th from 2-6 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV. A vigil service will be held on Thursday at 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 9th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 1017 Jefferson St. Follansbee, WV with the Rev. Father Jude Perera as celebrant.
Interment will follow Franklin Cemetery in Wellsburg, WV.
