ALISON ROSOHAC
Alison “Scottie” Montgomery (Blair) Rosohac, 93, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
Alison was born on October 29, 1929, in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was the daughter of the late Bones Blair and Elizabeth (Simpson) Blair.
Alison was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. She retired after 30 years of service as a nurse’s aid at Weirton Medical Center and the former Weirton General Hospital. Many will remember Alison for her rich Scottish heritage, crocheting and playing slots; but most of all, for her true enjoyment of reading romantic novels numerous in a week.
In addition to her parents, Alison was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Rosohac, seven siblings, Allen, Norman, Cedric and Ian Blair, Jessie Griffiths, Betty Turnbull and an infant baby, Shelia.
Alison is survived by her three children, Annette Kirkpatrick of Bridgeville, PA, Alicia Dawson and her husband, Robert of Weirton, WV, and Andrew C. Rosohac and his wife, Marlene of Venice, FL, five grandchildren, Robert Charles Kirkpatrick and his wife, Heather, Erin Dawson, Lindsey Durst and her husband, Joshua, Gavin Rosohac and his wife, Rebecca and Ian Rosohac, three great grandchildren, Colin Gordan Kirkpatrick, Ryder Rosohac and Maxwell G. Durst, two siblings, Sylvia and her husband, George and Arthur and his wife, Maureen, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family viewing and service will be held at the James Funeral Homes, Follansbee, WV, 304-527-1717 with Pastor Steve Smithbaurer followed by a private interment at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee, WV.
The family would like to thank the staff of Weirton Geriatric Center and Valley Hospice for their loving care and dedication to Alison through the years.
