ANNA BERARDI

In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, a sister Luisa DiPietro, brothers Remo and Liberatore Ferrante and nephews Kirk and Mark Spencer.

Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother and is survived by daughters Donata Clark (Bob) and Josetta Berardi, grandchildren Daniel O’Brien (Dawn) and Ava O’Brien (Dan). She is also survived by sister Mary Spencer, brother- in-law Chuck Berardi (Marcia), two nieces, eight nephews and 26 great nieces and nephews.

Anna will be remembered as kind and caring with a deep faith that was a constant in her life. She was selfless, always willing to help others and will be greatly missed. Anna was a dedicated member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Follansbee where she volunteered for many activities including Parish Council, Alter and Rosary Society, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, coordinator for funeral luncheons and worked at St. Francis Center.

Anna was a 1952 graduate of Follansbee High School and received a B.S. degree from West Virginia University in 1956.

She worked at Ohio Valley Hospital in Wheeling as a Medical Technologist, taught at St. Anthony’s School and Jefferson Technical College and was a Mail Carrier at the Follansbee Post Office.

She was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.

Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee.
