HAZEL BOOTH
Hazel Booth, 98, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Valley Hospice. She was born on May 27, 1925, a daughter of the late Alexander and Ruelina Sizemore.
She was a member of First Christian Church. Hazel was housekeeper and cook for the Dr. Jacob Mervis family and also head cook for Forester Nursing Home for many years.
Preceding Hazel in death were her husband Perry L. Booth, Jr.; two daughters Linda Marker and Doris Hayhurst; grandson Perry Pool; two great grandsons; five sisters and four brothers.
Hazel loved to cook and cook-out for everyone at her home. Her motto was “the more the merrier”.
Hazel is survived by two daughters Pam (Terry) Nutter and Pat Donley; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great- granddaughter; son-in-law, Norris Hayhurst; sister-in-law, Delores Urice; “fifth daughter” Elizabeth Mitchell Cortez; and her beloved Mervis Family.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville on Wednesday 4-6 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Bill Westling officiating. Burial at Holly Memorial Gardens.
