William Campbell "Bill" Saunders, 87 of Colliers, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Golden Oaks Room Board and Care.
Born on June 18, 1936, in Colliers, WV, a son of the late Walter and Marguerite (Beck) Saunders. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Mae (Ragan) Saunders, two sisters, Helen Saunders and Lois Dami, and a great grandson, Fynn Breen.
Bill graduated from Follansbee High School in 1954. He served his country in the Army. Bill retired from James White Construction where he worked as an operating engineer. He was Christian by faith. His true passion was farming and in his spare time he enjoyed playing cards and throwing darts with friends.
Surviving are three children, Susan (Dennis) Breen and William "Bill" Saunders both of Colliers, WV, and Kelly (Tofek) Hannaoui of Weirton, WV; one sister, Freda Dunn of Colliers, WV; and two brothers, James (Rose) Saunders of Morgantown, WV, and Ronald (Jeanie) Saunders of Talbot, TN; seven grandchildren, Patrick (Staci) Breen, Stephen (Jennifer) Breen, Nick Breen, Kristen Breen, Troy Saunders, Leila Hannaoui, Sophia Hannoui; five great grandchildren, Harper, Archer, Knox, Thea, Sawyer; along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Bill will be held on Sunday, September 10th from 4-7P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home at 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11th at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Frank Haas officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
