SONDRA LEE MANKOWSKI-MYERS

She was born July 6, 1941 in Steubenville, daughter of the late John and Josephine Masiak Mankowski.

Sandy was a registered nurse, nurse educator and professor who worked at Weirton Medical Center, WV Northern Community College, Kent State University and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

She was a longtime member of Sigma Masters Sorority and valued the friendship she had with her sorority sisters. She was also a member of Memorial Baptist Church and many bridge clubs.

Sandy was up for any activity, especially when it involved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Myers, who took excellent care of her until the end; children, Tina Cutone, M.D. (Rachel Gilman, M.D.), Edward M. Cutone III (Joan), Tammy Aftanas (Bruce), and Terri Neeley; 10 grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren; and sister, Martina Ledzinski (late Jerome).

Per Sandy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation.
