CLYDE MORELLI

Clyde is the son of the late Antonio and Lena Carrara Morelli. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Benjamin, Geno and Tony Morelli.

Clyde was a loving husband and father, fun loving and well known and loved in the community. Clyde was an original founding member of Morelli Brothers Block & Brick where he was President until retiring in his early 60’s. He was also a long time member of Steubenville Country Club and the Fun Seekers. Clyde also enjoyed watching Notre Dame sports and supported all local high school sports. He was an avid sportsman playing golf, tennis, volleyball, softball and bowling. Clyde was also involved with coaching both baseball and basketball for Aquinas Elementary School, as well as baseball for both little league and Babe Ruth in Wintersville in his younger days. He was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Surviving are his wife, Mary O’Malley Morelli, whom he married July 9, 1955; one son, Clyde L. (Robin) Morelli of Wheeling; one daughter, Marlene (Frank) Robbins of Belchertown, MA.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Gossett will celebrate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvcary Cemetery.
