CAROLYN McCART

Carolyn J. McCart, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the O’Neill Healthcare of Bay Village, OH.

Carolyn was born June 16, 1936, in Toronto, daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Snowden) Smith.

She was a devoted housewife and homemaker. Carolyn was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto and the Sunrise Senior Citizen Group.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, John S. McCart (2010) and six brothers, Bobby, Elmer, Ron, twin brothers, Merle and Earl, and Jay Smith who passed three days prior on Dec. 3.

Carolyn leaves behind her daughter, Ruthann (Steve) Franczak, two sons, John McCart and Shawn (Jennifer) McCart all of N. Ridgeville, OH; twin-sister, Marilyn (Earl) Glasure of Toronto, and brother-in-law, Jim (Donna) McCart of Toronto; six grandchildren, Adam (Danielle) Franczak, Dennis (Kelley) Franczak, Corey McCart, Jaynie Mueller, Cara McCart, and Hannah (Matt) Shupe; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Lukas Franczak, Briley Day, Maci Franczak, Kirby and Konnor Mueller, Rylee and Nora Shupe, and Amelia Smith.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 from 3 to 6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow on Saturday at 10 am at St. Francis Catholic Church. Additional visitation will take place in the rear of the church from 9:15 to 10 am. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will officiate, and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
