EVELYN BAHEN
Evelyn J. Bahen, 93, of Steubenville, died Friday, December 22nd at Country Club Manor, surrounded by her family. She was born February 25th, 1930, the only daughter of the late Elmer and Anna C. Benning Price. Also preceding her in death are her husband of 66 years, Gregory P. Bahen, two sons, Kevin and Paul Bahen, and her brothers Dave, Jack, Donald and Thomas Price.
Evelyn was a full-time homemaker, staying busy raising her 7 children. She was a 1947 graduate of Toronto High School, and a member of their Alumni Association. She was a member of Triumph of the Cross Parish and the Catholic Women’s Club. She enjoyed swimming with the Mingo Senior Citizens Swim Club.
Surviving are her daughter, Colleen Bahen of Steubenville, and her four sons, Gregg (Andrea) Bahen of Steubenville, Mark Bahen of Toronto, Neil Bahen of Stratton, and Timothy (Lori) Bahen of Columbus; Grandchildren Kenny, Kaylin (David) Ogden, Joseph (Krista), Gregory, Edward, Paul (Courtney), Connor, Shannon, Jean and Theresa Bahen. Four great-grandchildren Paisley, Nash, Trace, and Collins Ogden. Her lifelong friend Alice “PeeWee” Potts, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Country Club Manor for their compassion and care during her time as a resident.
Per Evelyn’s wishes, there will be a private viewing. Friends & family are invited to a funeral liturgy with mass on Wednesday at 11:30 am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Gossett, celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
