ROBERT KOVACH

Robert Louis Kovach, 70, of Rayland (Plum Run), OH, died at his home on December 6, 2023.

He was born on New Year’s Day in Wheeling, WV, in 1953.

Bob graduated from Smithfield High School. In his early working career, he was co-owner of the former Montgomery Tire in Steubenville. Later he moved to Florida where he worked at Palm Beach International Airport as an electrician. He returned to the Ohio Valley for his retirement.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Sophia Kovach, and is survived by his brother, Frank Kovach, Jr. (Linda); nephew Frank Kovach III (Karyn); niece Kim Miller (Dan); and three great-nephews, Frankie Kovach, Charlie Kovach, and Cole Miller.

Bob was a car enthusiast, motorcyclist, and lifetime member of Pine Valley Sportman’s Club.

According to Bob’s wishes, a private service and burial in the Northern Cemetery will take place at a later date. Bob’s arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH. Condolences may be offered via our website
