DONNA GATES

Born on December 1, 1938, in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Cecil and Valjean (Gardner) Grey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Lee Gates, two brothers John Grey, Donnie Grey; and two sisters Margie Knapp, Patricia Holt.

Donna was a wonderful homemaker to her family. She was Methodist by faith and attended the Tucker United Methodist Church. When not taking care of her family she was faithfully taking care of the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery holding the position of Treasurer and secretary for 24 years. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 10 in Weirton.

She is survived by her loving husband Mike Gates, two sons; Michael John (Bill) Gates of Cincinnati, OH, Brian Lee (Mindy) Gates of Reno, NV, one daughter Lisa Lynn (Kevin) McConnell of Chester, VA, one Grandson, Alex Stewart of Weirton, WV, a Brother Richard Grey of Paris, Pa, one sister Barbara Libengood of Weirton, WV and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 24th for family and close friends.

She was interred in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
