LARRY DODD

Larry was born on July 31, 1940 in Pennsboro, WV. He was the son of the late Paul Gilbert Dodd and Lucille (Carr) Dodd.

Larry retired after 30 years of service to Weirton Steel Corporation in the Sinter Plant and Blast Furnace. He and his brother, David, owned and operated Dodd Sales, Inc. and Mom and Pop Quick Stop in Colliers, WV. Many will remember Larry for his enjoyment of hunting, fishing, working with his sawmill and tractors at his home in Pennsboro; but most of all, he will be remembered as a loving and caring person who cherished spending time with family and his beloved pet, Curly.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his two infant siblings, Lloyd Lee Dodd and Paul G. Dodd Jr., two sisters, Lena Barnhart and Louise McCullough, a brother, David Alva Dodd and a grandson, Ted Stroud Jr.

Larry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nora Lou (Tucker) Dodd, three children, Larry Gilbert Dodd Jr. (Sandy), Paul Charles Dodd ( Donna) and Diana Lynn Longwell, seven grandchildren, Larry G. Dodd III (Brittany), Amanda Moran (Jason), Timothy Taylor II, Paul G Dodd Jr., Jeremy O. Dodd (Andrea), Marty R. Longwell II. (Alyssa), and Cody L. Longwell (Lacey), 16 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
