VIRGINIA DISERIO
Virginia C. Diserio, 89, of Wellsburg, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Weirton, West Virginia. She was born on September 16, 1934, in Wellsburg, West Virginia the youngest of 11 children of the late Felix and Modesta (Spognardi) Diserio.
Virginia was a former employee of Kusic and Haines, Humes Trucking, and M&M Bank where she retired after 19 years. She was member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, West Virginia where she was also a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
She was proceeded in death by her sisters; Frances Diserio, Elizabeth Olszeski, Patty Winski, Mary Lupinetti, and Dora McDermott, brothers; Joseph, Paul, Eugene, and William Diserio.
Surviving are her brother, Alfred Diserio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Diane, Suzann, Patricia, and Celia would like to thank Aunt Virginia’s childhood friend, Eleanor Sacripanti, friends and neighbors Chris and Dick Vulgamore, Linda and Mike Turkaley, Naomi Amos, and Loma Harvey for all the calls, cards, and visits. They would also like to thank the wonderful staff of The Wyngate Senior Living Community for their kindness and the outstanding care she received as a resident there.
A visitation for Virginia will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV, a funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am with Father Justin Golna officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Virginia’s name to St. John Catholic Church Building Fund 1300 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV 26070.
