ANTHONY “TOBY” DiCESARE
On January 31, 2024 Toby went to Heaven peacefully at home in the arms of his wife Kerry. His Superman Cape became Angel Wings as the Lord called him Home. Toby was very proud to be born in Steubenville, Ohio to his beautiful Italian immigrant parents Carmine and Adelina. Toby was known as being tough growing up in Steubenville but if your were his friend and he had many, he would do anything for you. He was the same with family.
A giving, thoughtful and caring man. Always thinking of others’ and how they are doing. Truly loved his family.
Toby made his way to Las Vegas as a young man after serving 2 years in the U.S. Navy. He became the most well known, well-loved person in the Casino industry in Las Vegas and beyond. His kindness, generosity, and concern for others’ has been felt by the hundreds and hundreds of the lives that he touched in one way or another. He loved people and took the time to know them whether it was at work, in the gym or playing in racquetball tournaments around the country. Toby will truly be missed.
Toby excelled in the Hotel Casino industry starting his career as a dealer, boxman and Floor Supervisor. He quickly worked his way up to many positions such as Shift Manager, Casino Manager, Director of Race and Sportsbook, Director of Casino Hosts, Director of Player Development, Senior Credit Executive and Executive Casino Host. The many Casinos he was loved at include Circus Circus, Riviera, Hacienda, Rainbow Club Las Vegas, Maxim, Tropicana, Sands, Bally’s/Paris, Las Vegas Hilton, Westgate. As well as Kings Castle in Lake Tahoe and Dunes El Rancho in Haiti.
Toby loved his family tremendously and couldn’t be more proud.
He is survived by his wife Kerry, his children Lil Toby, Koots, Karen (Bob), Sheryl (Theo), Michael and many, many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Grandkids and Great grands and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Carmine and Adelina, by his brothers Joseph, Robert and Edward, his former wife Dolores, his daughter Shelli Di Cesare and grandsons Bobby and Anthony.
