RALPH “EUGENE” HUMES

He was born August 26, 1937, in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Ralph V. and Ruth E. (Smith) Humes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step- mother, Lillian Humes; an infant son, Joseph E. Humes, and a brother, David C. Humes.

Eugene was a heavy equipment operator and member of the Plum Run Church of Christ in Christian Union.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy C. (Lockhart) Humes; three sons, Ralph Humes, Richard (Belinda) Humes and Randy Humes and his girlfriend Kara Busefink; a daughter, Jodie Lynne Rouse; a brother, Pastor Harry (Eleanor) Humes; a sister, Dana Cangley; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH, on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Harry Humes, officiating. Private interment at New Alexandria Cemetery.
