MARLENE SAYERS
Marlene E. Sayers, 88, of Wellsburg, WV passed away March 13, 2024, at home.
She was born August 13, 1935, in Wallace, WV to the late Rex Fleming Bates and Agnes Wilda White Swiger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Sayers, a son Jeff Bates, a brother Jackson Swiger, and a sister Janice Blunt.
She is survived by her companion Dale Dixon, two sons Rex (Sandi) Bates, Marvin “Bouk” (Dee) Bates all of Toronto, OH, two daughters Jeanne (Kevin) Yanda of Follansbee, WV, Melanie (Lee) Cecchini of Wellsburg, WV, two sisters Diana Hutson of Wallace, WV, Susan Cain of Smithfield, WV, a sister in law Barb Swiger of Beech Bottom, WV, fifteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV.
Words of remembrance by Rex Bates will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
