Gregory Joseph Smitsky, 67, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Brightwood Center in Follansbee. Born on August 23, 1956, Gregory was the beloved son of Joseph and Mary Holeva Smitsky and was one of two children in the family.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister Karen Smitsky, nephew, Michael Joseph Smitsky, and great-nephew Knox Joseph Smitsky.
Friends may visit with Gregory's family on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Weirton from 11:00 am until the time of 11:30 Liturgy of the Word service.
Fr. Gerold Muoka will preside.
Gregory's wish for cremation has been honored.
He was cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory.
