Donald Robert Monigold, 92, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away June 1, 2024.
He was born November 26, 1931 in Toronto, Ohio, a son of the late Daniel A. and Evelyn B. (Rawson) Monigold. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ellen (McClain) Monigold in Jan. 2015; brothers, Clifford "Bud" Monigold, David Monigold Sr., Richard Monigold Sr.; sisters, Grace Schmittauer, Ruth Rowe, Jean Mosser, and Betty Thompson.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He retired as dispatcher from Ray Camelback Lumber Co. of Phoenix, AZ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Vincent) Monigold, whom he married on November 10, 2018; two sons, Bob (Shirley) Robison of Blackhawk, CO and Jim (Robin) Robison of Aurora, Ohio; Brenda (Terry) Spencer of Bloomingdale and June Busana of Wintersville; seven grandchildren, Christa, Khara, Ryan, Kyleene, Jessica, David, and Trevor; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; brother, Thomas Monigold; and a sister, Nancy Vittek, both of Steubenville.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Road., Wintersville on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeremy Kuttler officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates with military honors.
