EDITH YETTS

Edith Michelle “Edie” Yetts, 52 of Steubenville, OH died peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on May 2, 1972, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of Hattie (Moore) Pizzuti Welch of Wellsburg, WV and the late James Pizzuti. She is also preceded in death by her stepfather, Jim Welch.

Edie graduated from Brooke High School in 1990 and went onto graduate from Ohio State University in 1995 with a bachelor’s in accounting and finance. She later got her master’s in business administration from Franciscan Univresity. She worked for Carnegie Mellon University in their student loan office handling student accounts.

Edie was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church in Steubenville, OH.

Edie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her spirit and kindness will continue to inspire those who know her. She will be deeply missed. “We will always carry your memory in our hearts.”

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years Dunyasha “Tubbo” Yetts at home; one daughter, Isabella Yetts at home; one brother, Jimmy Jo Pizzuti and companion, Adriana of Wellsburg, WV; several nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Jocelyn, J.J., Lena, and Dominic; a great nephew, Reese; along with many aunts, uncles, among them Janice Cornelius, Mary Conley, George Moore, along with many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13th from 11:00 A.M. until time of funeral liturgy of the word at 1:00 P.M. at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV with the Rev. Father Matt Gossett officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to U.P.M.C. Hillman Cancer Center at U.P.M.C. Magee-Women’s Hospital 300 Halket St. Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
